Math modeling is “...a process that uses mathematics to represent, analyze, make predictions, or otherwise provide insight into real-world phenomena.” (GAIMME Report). In this session, we will look at what the Common Core’s Standard of Mathematical Practice #4 can look like in Kindergarten, resulting in a class culture of 5-year old mathematicians who are fearless questioners and thinkers.
